Each state page tracks the trailing 12 months of severe weather — wind, hail, tornado, and flood events — fused from NWS warnings, observed Local Storm Reports, official NCEI storm records, and FEMA disaster declarations, consolidated into a single event table. Every page shows total events, event-type breakdown, most-impacted counties, the biggest storm days, and a free downloadable CSV/JSON dataset, refreshed continuously. A machine-readable index of every published file — all 50 state and 576 city datasets — is at the dataset catalog.

Why deduplication matters

The same hail storm can generate a warning, several reports, an NCEI entry, and a declaration. Counting each record separately inflates activity; merging them gives an honest per-state picture. The method is documented on Methodology and Data Sources.
