What StormAuditor is

StormAuditor, operated by Storm Auditor LLC, is an informational research platform for historical severe weather at U.S. addresses. It aggregates publicly available data from NOAA and the National Weather Service — radar-estimated hail (MRMS MESH), the NWS analysis of record for wind (URMA/RTMA), HRRR model fields, ASOS/AWOS station observations, NWS warnings, Local Storm Reports, official NCEI storm records, and FEMA disaster declarations — and organizes it around a single address, county, or date.

What it is for

Homeowners use the Free Report Snapshot to see whether the public record shows damage-capable hail or damaging wind at their property. Contractors and adjusters use statewide explorers, state storm data, and date-of-loss research tools to document storm history from public sources. Anyone can read the articles and state storm recaps.

What it is not

StormAuditor does not send anyone to your door, does not determine that damage occurred, and does not decide insurance outcomes. Values are modeled estimates at property coordinates — not on-site measurements — produced under a published methodology with documented limitations. Reports are research documentation, not certified weather records or professional advice.
