Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of StormAuditor, including acceptable use, account rules, data licensing, and disclaimers about historical weather information.
The short version
StormAuditor is an informational research tool built on public NOAA and NWS data. By using it you agree to acceptable-use rules (no scraping, abuse, or resale of data outside permitted use), account and billing terms for paid plans, and the core disclaimer: values are estimates, not certified weather records, and StormAuditor does not determine damage, causation, coverage, or liability. The full, binding terms are on this page.
What the full terms cover
- Acceptable use: personal and professional research use is welcome; automated scraping, bulk redistribution, and abuse are not.
- Accounts and billing: subscription terms for Pro and Pro+ plans, the one-time Single Weather Report, cancellation, and refund handling via Stripe.
- Data licensing: what you may do with downloaded datasets and generated reports, and how underlying public NOAA/NWS data remains public.
- Disclaimers and liability limits: estimates are research documentation — see Limitations and Data Disclaimers for the substance behind the legal language.
