Hail Map & Swath Explorer

A statewide interactive Hail Explorer built on NOAA MRMS radar-estimated hail (MESH), NWS warnings, and local storm reports.

An interactive hail map with statewide swaths, date by date

The hail map draws radar-estimated hail (NOAA MRMS MESH) across an entire state for any date — hail swaths colored by estimated size, with NWS warnings and Local Storm Reports overlaid. Scrub through dates to watch events unfold, and identify which counties, ZIP codes, and neighborhoods sat under the largest estimates.

Built for storm-response professionals

Roofers, restoration contractors, and adjusters use the explorer to see where a hail day concentrated before committing crews — and to document, from public data, that a swath plausibly covered a property. Verify individual addresses with the Free Report Snapshot or a full report. Available on the Pro+ plan; the free state storm data pages show event-level context for every state.

MESH is radar-estimated size aloft — read the hail methodology for what swaths do and do not prove.
