How hail history is reconstructed
For any U.S. address, StormAuditor reconstructs hail context date-by-date from NOAA MRMS MESH — radar-estimated maximum hail size on a ~1-km grid — sampled at the property and in distance rings around it, cross-referenced with NWS severe thunderstorm warnings and Local Storm Reports under the SAHE-2 methodology. Reports distinguish clearly between radar estimates over the property and estimates some distance away.
