NOAA hail reports by address
For any U.S. address, StormAuditor builds the hail history from three public records, sampled at the property and around it. The estimate for each date comes from the radar cell over the property under the SAHE-2 methodology; a downloadable list of every date is the hail report by address.
- Radar-estimated hail (MRMS MESH) — The largest hailstone diameter the radar supports in each cell of a grid about 1 km across — it covers storms no one reported.
- Local Storm Reports — Hail diameters reported by trained spotters, the public, and emergency managers, each listed with its distance from the property.

How far back hail history goes
At-address hail estimates in the Weather Report go back to October 1, 2021. NOAA Storm Events hail records for every state and 578 cities go back to 2010 on the storm data pages.
When the sources disagree
Radar estimates, warnings, and ground reports often differ: radar sees storms no one reported, and reports come from where people are. Limitations covers grid resolution, radar range, and reporting gaps.
