Reading a storm day correctly

A day with hundreds of recorded events usually reflects an organized system — a squall line, a tropical remnant, a multi-state outbreak — while a day with a dozen events may still contain the single supercell that mattered for one neighborhood. The calendar shows both honestly because it counts deduplicated public records, not headlines. When a date matters to you, open it: the day view breaks activity down by state and hazard so you can tell a wind-driven day from a hail-driven one before drilling into any address.
