Wind Report by Address

Homeowners and professionals use StormAuditor to look up historical peak wind gusts at a U.S. address using NOAA URMA/HRRR gridded analysis and NWS-recognized station observations.

What a wind report shows

For any U.S. address, the wind report lists storm dates with the estimated peak gust at the property, derived from the NWS analysis of record (URMA/RTMA) adjusted by nearby measured evidence — ASOS/AWOS station gusts and measured storm reports — under the SAWE-2 methodology. Each value shows its evidence: which station measured what, how far from the property, and what the background analysis said.

Free and paid paths

The Free Report Snapshot answers whether the record shows estimated wind at or above StormAuditor's 45 mph screening threshold at the address. The $2.99 Single Weather Report details every qualifying date in the screened sources and date window. Pro+ subscribers browse statewide gust swaths in the Wind Explorer.

Report or history — which page do you need?

This page is the historical peak wind gust report by address — the downloadable, per-date document with evidence. If you want to understand past wind at your address before buying anything — highest wind speed at my address, past gusts, how gust differs from sustained wind — start with the free wind history guide; it explains the record and links back here when you need the document.

Verified, not asserted

The wind engine is validated leave-one-station-out against held-back measurements across states and storm types, with statistics published on the methodology page. Values are estimates at coordinates, not on-site measurements — see Limitations.
