Where does the data come from?
Public sources: NOAA MRMS, URMA, and HRRR, National Weather Service warnings and Local Storm Reports, SPC storm reports, ASOS/AWOS stations, and NCEI Storm Events. See Data Sources for the full list.
How far back does storm history go?
At-address estimates in the Weather Report go back to October 1, 2021 — more than 5 years. NOAA Storm Events records for every state and 578 cities go back to 2010 on the storm data pages.
Does StormAuditor decide insurance claims?
No. It documents the estimated weather at an address by date from public records. Damage, coverage, and liability determinations come from inspections, the policy, and licensed professionals.
