The StormAuditor Editorial Team
How StormAuditor content is researched, written, reviewed, and kept current.
Who we are
StormAuditor is operated by Storm Auditor LLC. The StormAuditor Editorial Team researches, writes, reviews, and maintains the articles, storm recaps, and methodology documentation published on this site. Every piece of content is attributable to the company, produced under the same standards, and kept current as the underlying public record changes.
How our content is produced
Content starts from primary public records: NOAA and National Weather Service warnings, Local Storm Reports, ASOS/AWOS station observations, radar-derived hail estimates (MRMS MESH), the NWS analysis of record for wind (URMA/RTMA), and official NCEI storm databases. Values are produced under the site's published, versioned methodologies, with verification statistics published alongside them, and every numeric claim on a data page traces to a public source listed on the data sources page. Drafts are reviewed against the underlying records before publication.
City and state data pages
The city and state storm-data pages are built from the public records above on a rolling 12-month window and attributed to Storm Auditor LLC. The engine versions, screening thresholds, and deduplication rules behind them are documented on the methodology pages, so any value on any page can be traced to how it was produced.
