The evidence behind every estimate

An Explainer Report is a per-date PDF that shows the complete evidence and arithmetic behind the estimated peak wind gust and estimated maximum hail size at an address. It opens with a satellite evidence map — the property with distance rings, the NOAA analysis field shaded in place, and contributing weather instruments and measured storm reports plotted at their true recorded locations with their values. It then walks the calculation step by step with the real numbers: the instrument table, the distance weights, both correction passes, and the final candidates compared in the open. Hail gets the same depth, with the MRMS MESH radar field mapped over the property and ground reports listed with their NWS qualifiers.

Who gets Explainer Reports

Explainer Reports are included with Pro plans and higher — with more included as you move up, and unlimited on Organization plans. They generate on demand from any date row in a Weather Report and download as a PDF. Anyone can also pick up a single Explainer Report for one address and date for $2.99, with a copy delivered by email.

Every input names its source — NOAA URMA/RTMA analyses, ASOS/AWOS station gusts, NWS Local Storm Reports, MRMS MESH radar hail — and the arithmetic follows the published wind and hail methodologies. Each document is generated per date so the evidence reconstruction stays fast and reliable for everyone; values are modeled estimates at the property coordinates, not on-site measurements or a certified weather record.
