The tornado began in northern Christian County in the Griswold Conservation Area, causing extensive tree damage throughout the property. It crossed the county line into Macon County, damaging more trees and structures in Blue Mound, including the roof of Meridian Elementary School. It also destroyed 2 grain bins south of the school. It tracked east-southeast, taking down electrical transmission lines and numerous large tree branches. It crossed US-51 and tracked east-southeast into Shelby County where it damaged more trees and electrical transmission lines along the Shelby/Macon county line. The tornado lifted 3 miles northeast of Moweaqua along N 1000 East Rd.",

   "description": "The tornado touched down about 5 miles southwest of Bement, near the intersection of County Rd 600 and N 500 East Rd where it damaged two large trees. The tornado progressed through open fields just south of State Hwy 105, where a drone captured the rotational marks in the corn fields. The tornado removed the roof of a grain storage building and snapped two power poles where Hwy 105 turns north toward Bement. A camper was flipped over and destroyed along N 1000 East Rd, then the tornado moved northeast and cause damage to a grain bin, a couple of outbuildings and several trees along E 900 North Rd before it dissipated before reaching the county line. EF1 tornado. 10.11 miles.",

A tornado touched down in south central Logan County, commencing near the intersection of 1250th Ave and 600th St, where it caused minor tree damage. The tornado tracked east-northeast, impacting the northwest side of Mount Pulaski. Along this path, it crossed 700th St and State Route 121, resulting in further damage to trees, a machine shed, and several small grain silos. Continuing its movement, the tornado crossed State Highway 54, uprooting additional trees and tearing metal paneling from an old barn near the intersection of Highway 54 and 2000th Ave. The path continued just south of Chestnut, snapping small tree limbs, before crossing the Logan De Witt county line with minor tree damage. The tornado ultimately lifted approximately two miles south of Kenney.",

Traveling east northeast along Rowell Rd, the storm continued to cause tree damage. It then crossed Rowell Rd near Bearsdale Rd, snapping a wooden power pole. The tornado then turned northeast, causing minor roof damage to a home and additional minor tree damage along Ospur Rd before finally lifting just prior to reaching Weldon Springs Rd.",

   "description": "The EF-2 tornado touched down in far eastern Christian County where a spotter captured video of the tornado heading toward and crossing IL Route 48. The tornado remained weak with minimal damage until it crossed US Hwy 51 and reached Elwin. The damage between Elwin and Turpin included numerous snapped large trees as well as several homes with roof damage. Some of the more significant damage with this tornado occurred along E Skyline Drive as the tornado removed the majority of the roofs off of 8 homes and produced complete destruction of a garage that was tossed to the next block. Very large trees were also snapped off in that area. More home roof damage and tree damage occurred between S Baltimore Ave and S Mount Zion Rd, as the tornado crossed Bentonville Rd at Mount Zion Rd. The tornado weakened after that point, but was video taped by a couple of spotters progressing east all the way into Piatt County before dissipating near State Hwy 32. The tornado was on the ground for 34 minutes covering 23.6 miles with a peak wind speed of 120 mph.",
